I met Ms. Finkelstein via facebook, I never attended 2nd Street school, but she and I shared the same Pico Gardens and Aliso Village friends and finally met in person at one of the Farmer Markert's in Boyle Heights. I loved that she loved Boyle Heights, but more the love she had for her "kids". She was a friend to many of her former students and kept in touch with them throughout the years, something not common in teachers. She had a heart of gold and will be missed. May you rent in eternal peace and be in God's hands.
